Newborn Photographer Based in New York and Connecticut
''Babies grow so incredibly fast! Newborn sessions capture those precious sleepy moments when your baby is at their tiniest. In studio sessions include the use of a variety of wraps, blankets and props.''
- HOW LONG ARE NEWBORN SESSIONS?
For full newborn sessions, I schedule up to 4 hours for newborn session. I don't always use the full 4 hours. A typical session lasts 2 hours, but could be quicker. It all depends on the baby. I leave extra room in the schedule for snuggling, posing, feeding, set changes, etc.
- WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BOOK?
It is best to book your newborn session in your 3rd trimester of your pregnancy. This guarantees availability and leaves room for the creative planning process.
- WHAT IF MY BABY IS ALREADY HERE?
Don't fret! I do book 2-3 months in advance, but if I have room in my schedule I will certainly fit you in. I hate turning anyone away as newborn photography is such a time sensitive session. If for some odd reason I cannot accommodate your session, I have a list of amazing photographers that I can refer you to as well, so please don't hesitate to reach out.
- ARE PROPS INCLUDED?
I have a wide variety of props at my studio that are available for use during your session. You are more than welcome to bring your own props that you picked up, but you can always come to the studio with piece of mind knowing I will have lots for you to pick through.
- WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Aside from the baby & any props you may be bringing it's always good to have diapers, wipes, warm blanket, swaddle blanket, pacifier, bottle, formula or breast milk. Even if your child has not, or will not use a pacifier, it's strongly recommended. There are sometimes where a pacifier will soothe baby back into the pose without having to disturb the session.
- HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL BE IN A GALLERY? CAN I HAVE ALL THE PHOTOS YOU TAKE?
Full newborn sessions include at least 20 images, it all depends on the baby, A fussy baby may yield smaller results and vice versa. On average, my full session gallery typically has 35-45 photos. This will be a mix of different poses and angles. I only choose and edit the best photos to present to you. Trust me, I'm not hiding amazing photos on my hard drive. My heart skips a beat when I see an amazing photo :) Photos that don't meet my high criteria are deleted immediately.
